April 1, 2024 – Tommy Nobis Center (TNC), a Marietta-based nonprofit that helps individuals with disabilities enter or return to employment, will host its 26th Annual Galaxy of Stars Luncheon on Friday, May 3 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Georgia Aquarium.
Galaxy of Stars is Tommy Nobis Center’s premier fundraising event and awards ceremony honoring the incredible accomplishments of the people they serve and the community champions who pave the way for people with disabilities to find purpose and independence. This year’s theme “Building Brighter Futures” reflects the intent of TNC’s mission of empowering people through employment and the efforts to help them pursue their dreams and achieve their goals.
“Year after year, we are so inspired by the outpouring of support from our community for people with disabilities,” said President & CEO Dave Ward. “We look forward to another meaningful event.” Honorees include Alan Moak for Lifetime Achievement, Community Champion Karen Dernavich, Family Member Advocates Katherine and Jay Wolf, and Tommy Nobis Rising Star Niarchos Wright. Cobb EMC Foundation is the Presenting Sponsor.
There will be an online auction accompanying this event starting April 5. For more information, go to https://tommynobiscenter.org/galaxy. Funds raised through the event and auction directly support programs and services for youth and adults with disabilities.
