INDIVIDUAL JOB PLACEMENT SERVICES

Individuals work one-on-one with Employment Specialists to develop an employment plan that supports their career goals. Our Job Placement Services provide personalized guidance to help individuals prepare for, locate, and obtain meaningful employment opportunities.

How to Apply

Getting started is easy. Follow the steps below to begin the Adult Services application process.

Step 1: Complete the Tommy Nobis Center Adult Services Intake Form

Complete our intake form so we can gather the information needed to begin the process.

Step 2: Complete the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency (GVRA) Self-Referral Form

Tommy Nobis Center’s Adult Services are provided through a partnership with the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency (GVRA). Completing the self-referral form allows GVRA to determine your eligibility for financial assistance for these services.

Step 3: Complete an In-Person Assessment at Tommy Nobis Center

After receiving your intake form, we will contact you to schedule a 45-minute in-person assessment to determine your eligibility for Adult Services.

Step 4: Participate in the GVRA Assessment

After submitting your GVRA self-referral, a GVRA representative will contact you to schedule an assessment. This assessment determines your eligibility for services through GVRA.

Step 5: Share Your GVRA Counselor Information

If you are approved for services, GVRA will assign you a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor who will help develop your individualized plan for employment. Once you receive your counselor’s name and email address, please share that information with Tommy Nobis Center.

Step 6: Authorization and Service Assignment

After receiving your counselor’s contact information, Tommy Nobis Center will request authorization from GVRA to begin services. Once authorization is approved, we will assign an Employment Specialist to schedule your initial meeting and begin supporting your job search and career development.

Please Note: The GVRA process (Steps 4 and 5) typically takes 30–90 days.
