March 25, 2025 – Tommy Nobis Center (TNC), a Marietta-based nonprofit dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities enter or return to employment, will host its 27th Annual Galaxy of Stars Luncheon on Friday, April 25, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Cobb Energy Centre.

As TNC’s premier fundraising event and awards ceremony, Galaxy of Stars celebrates the incredible accomplishments of individuals with disabilities and recognizes the community leaders who champion their success. This year’s theme, “Empowered,” highlights TNC’s ongoing commitment to supporting individuals as they pursue meaningful careers and achieve their dreams.

“Empowerment is at the heart of everything we do at Tommy Nobis Center,” said TNC President & CEO Dave Ward. “This event is a powerful reminder of the impact that opportunity and support can have on individuals with disabilities. We are excited to celebrate the achievements of our honorees and the community that makes this work possible.”

This year’s honorees include:

  • Kim Menefee – Lifetime Achievement Award
  • Laura and Eric Hart – Community Champions Award
  • Nolan Wilson – Tommy Nobis Rising Star Award

Cobb EMC Foundation is the Presenting Sponsor of the event.

In addition to the luncheon, an online auction will open on April 4 at 10:00 a.m., offering supporters another way to contribute to TNC’s mission. All proceeds from the event and auction directly fund programs and services that provide employment opportunities for youth and adults with disabilities.
