Galaxy of Stars Annual Luncheon – 2018

Official Raffle Rules

The Tommy Nobis Center (the “Center”) is conducting a raffle (the “Contest”) in connection with its annual Galaxy of the Stars Luncheon. By entering the Contest, Contestants agree to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Rules, waive any rights to claim ambiguity in the Context or these Rules and further agree to be bound by the Center’s decisions and interpretation of these Rules. Nobis Works, Inc. (the legal name of the Center) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that is registered with the Secretary of State of Georgia. This Contest is for the support of its stated mission.

Participation in the Contest is open to all friends, family, employees and supporters of Tommy Nobis Center; however, Contest participants must be 18 years or older to enter. Tickets must be purchased by 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 27, 2018. Winners consent to the use of their names and photographs to help promote Tommy Nobis Center programs, and Contestants do so without compensation or the need for further consent. A raffle is a game of chance, and therefore the amount paid for a ticket is not a charitable contribution; ticket purchases are not deductible for tax purposes. Contestants may purchase as many Contest tickets as they wish. Each ticket is personal and can only be in the name of one (1) individual Contestant. The number of tickets sold in the contest is only limited to the tickets available by the Center for distribution on the date of the Contest. No refunds will be made in respect of any ticket sales, except as otherwise agreed to by the Center in its sole discretion. Refunded tickets will be void. The drawing will be held at approximately 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 27, 2018, immediately following the closure of ticket sales. Prizes are not transferrable and winners may not substitute prizes for cash or cash equivalents. Contestants do not need to be present to win. All winners will be notified by May 4, 2018.

In the event that a prize is valued at $5,000 or greater, before claiming the prize the winner must provide his or her social security number, sign all required copies of IRS Form W-2G, and write a check payable to Tommy Nobis Center for 28% of the fair market value of the prize, less the cost of the raffle ticket. Tommy Nobis Center will remit the amount of your check, on your behalf, to the Internal Revenue Service, as required by law.

The Center reserves the right to disqualify false Contest entries or entries suspected of being false, and any illegible, defective, incomplete or physically altered tickets and tickets that do not include valid or complete payment. The Center is not responsible for printing errors in any contest-related materials, or for lost, late, misdirected or non-delivered attempts to acquire Contest tickets by Contest deadlines. All Contest tickets will become the property of the Center and will not be returned.
